China Win Men's Lightweight Single Sculls

China remained on its winning track by taking the first gold of Saturday at the Asiad rowing tournament.

Hua Lingjun beat Kim Il-Yong of DPR Korea to win the men's lightweight single sculls. Kim won the silver medal while the bronze was taken by Mohammad Akram of Pakistan.

Chinese Pair Takes Women's Lightweight Double Sculls

China took the women's lightweight double sculls through Fan Ruihua and Ou Shaoyan in the Asiad rowing tournament on Saturday.

The silver medal was taken by Akiko Iwamoto and Yoshie Sugiyama of Japan while the bronze went to Ri Son-Yong and Mun Won-Ok of DPR Korea.

China Wins Women's Open Class Quadruple Coxless Title

China won the women's open class quadruple coxless title at the Asiad rowing tournament on Saturday.

Kazakhstan finished second, Chinese Taipei took the bronze medal.

China Clean Sweeps Rowing Golds

China clean swept the 11 gold medals of rowing tournament at the 13th Asian Games.

After taking all the five golds on offer on Friday, the Chinese rowers further proved their depth by pocketing the remaining six title in Saturday's competitions.

The Chinese rowers enjoyed a greater advantage in Saturday's races, winning all the six events with a bigger margin. It is the third time for China to clean sweep all the rowing gold medals at Asian Games. They won all the four golds at 1982 New Delhi Asiad and repeated that feat in Beijing at 1990.
